Victorian Family Asks Locals and Campervan Hire Adelaide Users for Help to Find Missing Father

If you’re planning to rent a caravan from a campervan hire Adelaide company and explore the Australian outback, be on the lookout for a 54-year-old man from the state of Victoria. Just recently, the family of a Victorian man has appealed to the public to help them search for him after he has gone missing for over a month.

According to reports, Gary Lyddieth left Victoria for Western Australia in late April and drove across the country in a white campervan.  He arrived at Meekatharra police station on May 3, asking for directions to Gascoyne Junction. Gary’s daughter, Caitlin Lyddieth, said the police may have been the last to see him. According to Caitlin, the police gave his father “quite a simple route, although a dirt road and can be quite hazardous” to help him get to his destination. However, until this day, the authorities and campervan rentals Adelaide experts have yet to find any sign of the elder Lyddieth.

Caitlin added that his father was due to catch up with two of his friends who had flown to Carnarvon to meet him for a planned surfing trip last week. However, Gary didn’t show up on the scheduled date, which was very uncharacteristic of him, according to his daughter. Caitlin also revealed that his father’s bank accounts had remained untouched for a month and his phone had been switched off. This prompted the Lyddieth family to raise the red flag and seek the assistance of everyone, including the police and the campervan hire Adelaide enthusiasts who might be also visiting the area.

However, despite conducting aerial and vehicle searches in remote Western Australia with the help of the police and campervan rentals Adelaide and WA experts, the Lyddieths still cannot find a trace of the head of their family. Caitlyn said his father had travelled extensively throughout remote WA and knows the area “pretty well.” However, she suspected that her father might have done something that caused him to be stuck in his current predicament.

“We know the country pretty well and Dad knows it pretty well, too, but not thinking clearly and making decisions that are poor could definitely have got him in some trouble, which is why we expected to find him bogged,” Caitlin said. But despite the lack of news regarding her father’s whereabouts, Caitlin and her family remain optimistic. With the help of everyone, including campervan hire Adelaide and WA enthusiasts, she believes that they might still be able to find her father.

As such, if you’re planning to get campervan hire Adelaide hire services and visit WA, keep an eye out for Gary Lyddieth. Take note of any information you might find regarding his whereabouts so you can help put his family’s worries to rest.
