Rent Campervans and Visit Kid-Friendly St Kilda

If you’re planning to rent one of many campervans available today and take your kids for an outdoor adventure, you might want to visit St Kilda in South Australia. St Kilda is about a 30-minute ride from Adelaide. Your kids will definitely love it here as it has a very cool adventure play ground with a Flying Fox. It also has some very cool slides, including a spiral slide and a giant water slide.

There is a maze you and your children can get lost in and a very cool mono rail. The kids will have a ball and you never know you might want to join in. So when everyone starts feeling worn out, you can always walk the draw bridge and get on board the ship and be captain for the day.

If you think that the kids are the only ones who will have a great time after getting cheap campervan hire services and visiting St Kilda, think again. There are many things you can do in this quaint seaside suburb. It has a great hotel that does lovely meals at 12PM till 2PM that are very reasonably priced. With a very kid-friendly attitude, your children will also enjoy their stay at the place. Or if you want to dine outdoors, you could bring a picnic and enjoy the sunlight on the lawn.

There is a cool boardwalk through the flooded mangrove highlighting the Barker inlet. There, you can see some wild life, lots of salt marshes, and sea grasses. It runs for about 400m and it takes about 45 minutes to walk around the boardwalk so it’s an easy walk for the youngsters. Don’t forget the mosquito spray. They can be a little hungry at this time of the year.

There is also the St Kilda Tram Museum, which you will drive past on the way into the town in your campervans. It has a small entry fee of $10 for adults and $6 for kids.  The museum houses 20 trams and 14 of which are in service, including Australia’s first. They run on a historic track between the museum and the St Kilda playground so it’s easy to find.  The museum also has some trams from the USA and some house-driven trams. Just a lot of fun for the kids and the kids at heart. It is open on Sundays and Public Holidays. The playground, meanwhile, has a small shop where you can get drinks and an ice cream—a must on a hot day after playing on all the rides.

There is also a marina if you are lucky enough to have a boat and St Kilda has some great crabbing spots. The locals can be seen coming and going from the marina as it’s a busy spot on the weekends. So what are you waiting for? Get cheap campervan hire services and visit St Kilda for a fun day with your kids.
