NSW’s ‘Chinese Disneyland’ Seeks to Attract Tourists and Users of Campervans

Tourists now have a new reason to rent campervans and visit a small town in New South Wales. According to reports, a new theme park is set to rise in Warnervale in the NSW Central Coast in a few years time. The project, dubbed by many as “Chinese Disneyland,” is expected to attract millions of visitors from across the country and from different parts of the world, as well.

When completed, the $500 million Chappypie China Time will cover about 15,700 square meters of land. If approved, it will be opened to the public, cheap campervan hire users included, in 2016. Mayor Doug Eaten of Warnervale said he has high hopes for the Chinese theme park. He added that he is quite confident that it will rival Sydney’s Opera House as a top tourism destination in the region.

“I’ve truly never seen anything like this before. It’s going to blow people away when they watch the video and get a sense of how big and imaginative this concept really is and what it can do in terms of tourism,” said Eaten in an interview. He also explained that the project was part of the efforts of the state government to double the value of overnight visitor expenditure in New South Wales by year 2020. As a result, government units and agencies in NSW are finding ways to increase the number of people visiting the state, including those who are travelling in campervans.

The Wyong Shire Council approved the land’s sale to the Australia Chinese Theme Park Pty Ltd, the company behind the Chinese cultural theme park, in 2012. However, the members of the council are still yet to decide whether to approve the start of the theme park’s construction or not. But should they decide to proceed with the project, NSW’s Chinese Disneyland is likely to attract massive attention due to its uniqueness. As a matter of fact, there are fans of cheap campervan hire who are already looking forward to visiting the place.

If you’re a certified Sinophile, or someone who demonstrates a strong interest and love for Chinese culture, you’ll definite have a blast renting campervans and visiting Chappypie China Time in Warnervale. But for the mean time, you have no choice but to wait since the theme park has yet to be completed and opened to the public.

While waiting for the theme park to open, you might want to visit other places. With Australia being home to some of the most wonderful and popular tourist destinations in the world, you’ll definitely enjoy travelling around the country in your campervans.
